For a simple design (most of our cakes are considered a simple design) it is $3.00 per serving.  This includes FREE setup and delivery in Franklin County.  The top tier is also FREE; it is our gift to the happy couple.  Our undecorated cakes that go in the back are $2.25 per serving.  We do not do sheet cakes for our "side cakes".  Our "side cakes" are double layer just like the decorated cake so your guest will  get the same size slice of cake as the guest that have the "decorated" cake.  Fillings are $.50 per serving per tier extra. Return to top Are your cakes homemade? Yes.  We make and decorate all of our cakes ourselves right  in our kitchen. Return to top Who makes your cakes? Ruthie makes and decorates all her own cakes. Return to top Do you ever freeze your cakes? No, we never ever freeze our cake, which is why you will always  have a fresh cake for your reception. Return to top Can I design my own cake? Yes, in fact we believe you should.  It is your day so you  should   have the cake design that you want, not just some design that a decorator likes to do. Return to top How much do you charge for a consultation? The complete consultation is free regardless of how long it takes.    We believe that you should be able to take as much time as you need to get just that right look for something that will be seen and enjoyed by everyone at the reception. Return to top How many different flavors of cake can I try at the consultation? We offer 2 flavors of your choice at the consultation.  Because these cakes will be specially made for you we will call you a day or two prior to the consultation to confirm your  appointment.  If we do not actually speak to you (not just leave a message on your voice mail) we can not guarantee that you will be able to taste our cake.   Return to top If I choose to use Ruthie's Cakes & Desserts how much of a deposit do I have to put down? You can reserve your date for just $50.00.  This is non-refundable   but it does go toward the cost of the cake. Return to top What if I have to cancel our order? You can cancel your order at any time up until seven (7) days prior to the reception and all monies will be cheerfully refunded with the exception of the initial $25.00 deposit. Return to top How do you deliver your cakes?  Each cake is put in its own cake box for delivery.  We then build  the cake on site.  This is done whether the cake is delivered across the state or across the street. Return to top Have you ever had a cake fall? No.  Because of our unique way of supporting our cakes, we have never had a cake fall over. Return to top Do you accept credit cards? Yes you can go to our online payment section and pay using Master Card, Visa, Discover, American Express or your check via PayPal. Return to top Do you use POP -UPS? No absolutely not.  This site is owned and maintained by Ruthie's Cakes & Desserts.  We dislike pop ups as much as anybody else and will never use them.  If you see a pop up on this site please let us know right away.
